The Lingering Waves

My interpretation of making waves was not physical nor literal, but focused on how small actions can create a wider impact in subtle but powerful ways over time.

I chose to illustrate this through the act of spraying perfume. Its colourful mist represents the “wave” or the ripple effect: something that visually disappears once released into the air, yet whose scent is capable of expanding outward and reaching others. These soft waves of fragrance carry a warm and sweet presence, creating an uplifting atmosphere as they drift and touch everyone they encounter. This lingering scent leaves a lasting impression, quietly shaping the moments and interactions around it.
